Know the rules before the rewards

A companion-marketplace ownership checklist for MMORPG players

A player marketplace transfers an item, not an exemption from its rules. Before buying or listing, check both the item's provenance and the state of the offer.

Before buying from another player

Read the item's trial label and attributes. Trial-origin equipment cannot be resold to Wallet for USD or Gift Gold, including after another player buys it. A player-marketplace purchase does not reset that provenance.

Compare the listed item with what you actually need for your companion loadout. A seller's Gift Gold asking price is not proof of an equivalent automatic buy order, and a companion item does not become equipment for your MMORPG character.

Before creating a listing

Decide whether you want a player-to-player offer or an eligible Wallet sale. Those controls serve different destinations. Check the displayed settlement details instead of assuming that every Sell action has the same buyer.

An active listing reserves and unequips the item. Do not plan to equip the same item while leaving it offered for sale. Keep track of whether the offer is a fixed-price listing or an auction, because bids affect cancellation.

When changing your mind

Find the active listing through inventory or the marketplace's listing controls and check its cancellation option. An unbid listing is different from an auction that already has bids; the latter cannot be cancelled simply to unlock the item.

After cancellation, verify the item is no longer listed before equipping it or choosing another eligible sale route. If the screen and transaction history disagree, keep the item/listing reference for support rather than creating a second offer to work around it.
